Best car need for speed carbon3/24/2023 The AI rubberbanding is much worse somehow and it's really apparent in canyon duels, where the speed of the opponent changes based on how close to them you are. I replayed both of them back to back last week and both have a lot of shitty mechanics but overall I think MW is the better game, carbon just feels half finished. Also the PC port was even worse than its predecessor.ĭespite all that, I still loved the customization, the handling felt better (though the wheel screeching was a lot more annoying than in Most Wanted.), I liked the crew aspect and the impromptu races that could happen in free roam, the multiple car dealers that specialized in different cars, and the overall more light-hearted tone compared to the last game.Īlso fuck the PC port for constantly deleting my saves and glitching out my crew members cars. They also shortened the challenge series by a lot, and the AI rubber band was hell on later stages. The final boss was a coin toss because he could either be a total joke or a straight up street racing god, the Corvette and Viper were too OP. Drafters were absolutely broken on speed traps since they shot ahead on any corner at 300+mph (no I'm not exaggerating this actually happened numerous times), scouts were useless since the shortcuts were obvious as all hell. I also hated how you had to have two specific crew members to get the full customization experience (and I never used the autosculpt). There were too few bosses IMO and none were really memorable. The game basically neutered free roaming with the fast traveling, and pursuits weren't what they used to be since they were so damn rare. I loved Carbon.but it was nowhere near as good as MW.
